Notice About Coronavirus Cancellations

We know this has been an extremely stressful time for everyone.  We hope you can at least spend a little time relaxing and catching up at home in this 2 week “lock down”.

We have closed both Spinal Care offices in Collegeville and East Falls to do our part to slow the spread of the coronavirus.  If you had an appointment this week, you have already heard from us.  We will be reaching out to next week’s patients in the coming days.

If you need to reach us, email is the best way (info@spinalcare.com) as it will be checked many times daily.  We will not be in the office, so feel free to leave a voicemail at 610-489-8800, but know that we will not be checking voicemail as often.

Our main goal has always been to help people get out of pain and live their lives to their fullest.  If you are currently experiencing musculoskeletal pain, please reach out to us via email.  The last place you want to be right now for pain is in an ER, PCP office or urgent care facility.  If your pain has you thinking of reaching out to one of those providers, email us first.  We’d like to help keep people out of those very “high risk” locations.  We can often give you home care advice and, if necessary, we can see emergency cases.

This is new territory for all of us so we as a small business, as a team and as the Spinal Care family will do all we can to help our community at this time.  Please don’t hesitate to email us if you have any questions, concerns or needs.

OUR APPROACH

Our goal is to get you out of pain and keep you that way. That is our bottom line.

When our doctors do an initial evaluation, we will have a good idea if your condition is something we can fix or not. If we can fix it, we will explain to you what the problem is, how it will be fixed and about how long it will take. If it is something that we cannot fix, we will explain that too, and we will work with you to get you to someone who can help whether that is an orthopedist, pain management specialist, physical therapist or other provider. Once we get you out of pain, we will work with you to help keep you that way and prevent reinjury. Our job is to fix the injury and release you. We do not want to see you back in our office repeatedly or for a long term plan.

Our Approach

Acute Care

2

Pain is usually easier to fix when it is acute or has been ongoing for a short period of time (less than 6 months generally). Injuries like recent shoulder strains, knee pain and ankle sprains can be resolved in a few visits. Often times patients are 90% improved after one visit. The sooner we start the rehab process, the faster the patient is back to full recovery.

Chronic Pain

3

In many cases, pain from some injuries will linger for months and years. Pain that has been ongoing for more than 6 months is considered chronic and usually takes a little longer to resolve and will involve more patient involvement. Things like recurrent headaches and back pain from poor posture, not only require treatment but the patient will have to correct poor movement patterns and rebuild strength. We can not only help eliminate the chronic pain, but help you restore the proper mobility and stability to prevent the pain from returning.

Things that set us apart:

We focus on the rapid resolution of your injuries. We want to get you fixed and back to living your life. We do not subscribe to long term treatment plans.
